Tokyo, 1 February 2024 – Terrascope Japan K.K., an enterprise-grade decarbonisation SaaS platform with deep food & agriculture value chains expertise, announced today that Tatsuki Hirota will be appointed as the company's representative.

Tatsuki Hirota will lead Terrascope’s strategic growth in Japan, delivering carbon management and decarbonisation software services tailored to the requirements of domestic companies, and strengthening the company’s collaboration with existing customers and partners. Since its formal establishment in June 2023, Terrascope Japan has gained traction among prominent Japanese enterprises in the food, agriculture and consumer goods sectors. Terrascope's platform is the first CDP Gold Accredited Software provider from Asia, and has been fully translated into Japanese.

Prior to Terrascope, Mr. Hirota spent 28 years growing businesses at technology companies such as HubSpot, Google, VMware, and Hewlett-Packard. He has extensive management experience in sales and marketing, and while at Google, was responsible for the Business Development Consultant team in Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia, supporting the digital transformation of over 6,000 companies. Most recently, he served as Country Manager for HubSpot Japan from 2021 to 2023, where he spearheaded the organisation's expansion in Japan.

Speaking about his appointment as General Manager of Terrascope Japan K.K., Mr. Hirota said: “Many companies are progressively disclosing climate-related information with intricate detail and transparency, extending beyond their operational scope to encompass their entire value chain. An increasing number of companies are also actively pursuing decarbonisation efforts. But balancing decarbonisation and corporate growth is not a straightforward task. Terrascope's end-to-end decarbonisation platform helps companies navigate that challenge effectively.”

Maya Hari, CEO of Terrascope Pte. Ltd., added: “We launched our operations in Japan in May 2022, and we’re thrilled to add a seasoned leader of Mr. Hirota’s experience to grow Terrascope’s presence in Japan. With extensive management experience across various corporate phases – from major technology firms to startup ventures – Mr. Hirota will play a pivotal role in ensuring Terrascope provides Japanese companies with the software and expertise they need to confidently navigate decarbonisation and climate disclosures.”
